Five reasons that causes infertility in male.

Infertility is also seen in male. Due to infertility in males, child cannot be born. Male is equally responsible for inability of women to conceive.

Some of the common causes of infertility in male.

  • Azoospermia:   

 It is the absence of sperms in the semen. This may be due to lack of sperm production by testis or blockage of sperm tube.

  • Oligospermia:

            It is the low sperm count, density of sperms is less in semen because of which no sperms reach to ova to fertilize. More than 90% males suffer from oligospermia.

  •  Abnormal sperms:

           sometimes sperms may be abnormal in shapes as having two heads or no tail which is unable to fertilize the ovum.

  • Autoimmunity:

            In some males, the immune system may attack the sperms and reduce the sperm numbers.

  • Impotence and premature ejaculation-

              The inability to achieve an erection of the penis is known as impotence.
